TEMPLE HOTELS INC. ANNOUNCES $38-MILLION SALE OF HOTEL SASKATCHEWAN

Temple Hotels Inc. has agreed to sell Hotel Saskatchewan in downtown Regina, Sask., for $38-million, subject to the customary closing adjustments. The sale price is net of all costs associated with renovating and rebranding the hotel as an Autograph Collection by Marriott. The 224-room full-service hotel was acquired by Temple in April, 2014, for $32.8-million. The sale is expected to result in net cash proceeds to Temple of approximately $17-million, after the repayment of the existing first mortgage loan in the approximate amount of $20.9-million. The net cash proceeds will be used to repay other debt and for working capital purposes. No brokerage commission is payable on the transaction.

The sale is scheduled to close on Sept. 1, 2015.
