SALAZAR SELLS UP TO US$600,000 OF PROMISSORY NOTES

Salazar Resources Ltd. has agreed to sell up to $600,000 (U.S.) of promissory notes. To date, the company has received $200,000 (U.S.) on account of this financing from arm's-length parties and is working to close out the balance over the coming days. The proceeds from this financing will be used to pay annual tenure costs for the company's mining concessions in Ecuador and for general working capital.

The key terms of the notes to be issued are that they are unsecured, bear interest at 12 per cent and mature on March 31, 2016. The company has also agreed to issue to the noteholders advancing $600,000 (U.S.) a total of 761,500 non-transferable share purchase warrants. Each share purchase warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one common share at a price of 11 cents per share for a period of 12 months from closing.

The financing is subject to acceptance of filings with the TSX Venture Exchange.

Said Fredy Salazar, president and chief executive officer, "After careful consideration, we determined to accept this interim financing, as it allows us to maintain our core concessions in good standing while we continue to work on a property deal that will be most beneficial to shareholders in the long term."
