Stockport Exploration Inc. is facing a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia over a finder's fee on its option agreement for the Crescent Lake property in Ontario. A Vancouver entity called Amida Capital Partners claims that it made the introductions that led to the option, but received nothing for its work. It is seeking an appropriate fee.

The allegations are contained in a brief notice of claim filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Nov. 25, 2016. In the notice, Amida explains that it made initial contact with Stockport on May, 30, 2016, through a website that carried information on mining companies. Within days, Amida had a finder's fee arrangement with Stockport president James Megann. Amida was to arrange a buyer for the Crescent Lake property, the suit states.
