SUNSET CLOSES NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Further to Sunset Pacific Petroleum Ltd.'s news release of June 17, 2014, the company has completed its non-brokered private placement and has issued an aggregate of 2,666,666 units of the company for gross proceeds of $400,000. The proceeds of this financing will be used for general working capital.

All securities issued pursuant to this financing are subject to a Canadian hold period expiring Nov. 30, 2014.
