Ms. Christine Shipton reports

ALL EYES AND EARS ON FOOD NETWORK CANADA THIS FALL FOR WORLD PREMIERE OF NEW, CANADIAN ORIGINAL SERIES CHEF IN YOUR EAR

Listen up! This fall on Shaw Communications Inc.'s Food Network Canada, culinary masters are pairing with clueless cooks to see who can create the best restaurant quality dishes in the new original Canadian series Chef in Your Ear, premiering Aug. 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

"Shaw Media is proud to bring this original series, with a new, unprecedented competition format to Food Network Canada," said Christine Shipton, senior vice-president and chief creative officer, Shaw Media. "Chef in Your Ear serves up some delicious fun as professional chefs and kitchen rookies are taken out of their comfort zones. We know our viewers love this kind of high stakes, high energy competition."

In this thrilling culinary competition, two of the country's hottest chefs face off to see who can get a completely clueless cook to create the best restaurant quality dish in only one hour. The catch? The chefs never step foot in the kitchen. Isolated in a remote booth, each chef watches their cook on a monitor, guiding them step by step through an earpiece. The final plates are judged and the winning chef determines the losing chef's punishment. It's ego against ego and dish against dish in Chef in Your Ear!

The series is hosted by Second City funnyman Greg Komorowski and features Canadian chefs Jordan Andino (Harlow Sag Harbor, Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons), Devin Connell (Delica Kitchen), Craig Harding (Campagnolo), Rob Rossi (Bestellen, Top Chef Canada Season 1), and Cory Vitiello (The Harbord Room, THR & Co. and Flock).

"The transformation that each wannabe cook goes through, with the help of our esteemed chefs, is an amazing experience to watch," said Greg Komorowski, host of Chef in Your Ear. "I wish I could say that it was the most gratifying part of my job but really, getting to eat the final product was!"

Episode 1 "The Big Bang"

Aug. 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

It's time for Mr. Vitiello to face the music with Rosemary, a classical violinist who screams her way through stress. Mr. Rossi must dig deep to get Nick, a toymaker and child at heart, not to think of the kitchen as his new playground.

Episode 2 "When Pigs Fly"

Sept. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

Hearts pound and mallets fly as Mr. Connell and Mr. Harding try to create their takes on a traditional European pork dish. Mr. Connell must manage an IT consultant who once left chicken fingers in his oven for two weeks, while Mr. Harding trains a world-class athlete whose friends and family can't eat her cooking.

Chef in Your Ear is a 13-episode, 60-minute competition series. Chef in Your Ear is an original format conceived by Justin Scroggie, developed by Ricardo Larrivee, Justin Scroggie, Daniel Gelfant, Henry Less, Lee Herberman and Food Network Canada. The series is produced by HLP+Partners in association with Food Network Canada. Series producers are Daniel Gelfant and LeAnne Armano. Supervising producer is Angela Donald. Executive producers are Henry Less, Lee Herberman and Daniel Gelfant. International distributor is the Format People.
