Mr. Nick Taylor reports
SOFTROCK MINERALS ADVANCES THEIR LITHIUM PLAY
At Softrock Minerals Ltd.'s annual general meeting held Jan. 11, 2018, all directors were re-elected.
Stock options and possible future consolidation of common shares were also renewed.
The president, Nick Taylor, told the meeting that Softrock Minerals now holds 119,410 acres (48,344 hectares) of Alberta metallic and industrial permits which include lithium, a highly sought-after mineral.
The permits are held in five different areas of central and Northern Alberta.
Mr. Taylor elaborated saying that the lithium permits were carefully selected where studies showed porous reservoirs overlie the granite basement (Cambrian, Granite wash and Gilwood clastics). The granite is thought to be the source of pegmatite-spodumene ore with a high percentage of lithium chloride.
