SecureCom releases SecureCom Voice app for Android

2014-09-23 09:44 ET - News Release

Mr. Peter Wilson reports

SECURECOM MOBILE LAUNCHES SECURECOM VOICE(TM) - A PRIVATE AND SECURE ENCRYPTED VOICE CALLING APP FOR ANDROID OS

SecureCom Mobile Inc. has introduced SecureCom Voice, a secure voice calling application for mobile devices, available now in the Google Play Store for the Android operating system. SecureCom Voice is the third in a series of secure solutions for sharing mobile communications and data. The SecureCom Voice app is free, and operates on WiFi or over existing carrier networks without added fees or long-distance charges. SecureCom Voice requires virtually no programming beyond an initial set-up by the user and comes ready to run. The app is available at Google Play (search: SecureCom).

SecureCom Voice enables people to communicate, in complete privacy, with ease, using conventional mobile devices just like a standard phone call. However, using encryption technology that is based on the industry vanguard, SecureCom's technology completely shields voice communications from surveillance. The encryption is end to end, and only decrypted by source and target phones, and the encrypted voice data stream cannot be circumvented by outside parties, mobile carriers or even by SecureCom Mobile during or after the call. With a simple word comparison, users confirm the security of the call, without relying on any central authority. After that, the software is able to automatically warn users if confidentiality may be compromised. SecureCom Voice is compatible with Android phones as well as tablets. Users can choose to register with existing phone numbers or e-mail addresses.

Along with the security features inherent in the application, SecureCom technology is released under an open-source licence to allow for public scrutiny, and confirm the absence of back doors or other methods to remotely control access to individual's private information. This has proven to be the only effective control method amongst software developers, and adds a unique layer of protection over competitive voice and data solutions that keep their code private. You never know what back doors may exist when using private, non-public encryption devices.

SecureCom Mobile expects to release SecureCom Voice for all of the major mobile platforms in order to make the app available for use by the majority of the world's estimated seven billion ("Cisco Visual Networking Index: Global Mobile Data Traffic Forecast Update, 2013 to 2018," Feb. 5, 2014) mobile device users. In all, SecureCom Mobile offers three distinctly different apps that, when used together, provide a total solution for secure and private personal data exchange over mobile devices and computers.

We seek Safe Harbor.
