The Investment Reporter, in its July 15, 2016, issue, says hold Russel Metals Inc., recently $22.88. The Reporter said buy 13 times from March 28, 2003, to May 29, 2015, at prices ranging from $5.39 to $35.23. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the 13 buys, the $13,000 position is now worth $16,816. Russel Metals is a Greater Toronto Area-based metals distribution company. In 2015, it earned 99 cents a share. It is expected to earn the same this year. The Reporter says this partly reflects the downturn in the oil and gas industry. Russel's shares, in comparison with its earnings, however, have jumped quite a bit: They trade at a hefty 23.1 times this year's earnings estimate. This puts its $1.52 dividend at risk. Hold for now.
