RITCHIE BROS. TO SELL DIVERSE SELECTION OF RAILROAD EQUIPMENT IN CHICAGO, IL
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Inc. will sell more
than 750 rail and industrial equipment items at an unreserved public
auction in Chicago, Ill., on Oct. 2, 2014. The auction directly
follows the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance (AREMA) show,
held Sept. 28 to Oct. 1. Every item in the auction will be sold
to the highest bidder, regardless of price, without minimum bids or
reserve prices. Bids in the auction can be made in person at the
auction site, on-line in real-time and by placing proxy bids.
"To have an auction with the equipment we are offering at the time we
are holding it, immediately following the AREMA show, presents an
exciting new opportunity for us," said Ben Arbeiter, regional sales
manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "The auction features a great
selection of railroad and other heavy equipment, so this is a great
chance for anyone looking to acquire quality equipment from a variety
of industries."
In all, more than 750 equipment items will be sold in the Oct. 2,
2014, auction, including:
- 2009 Caterpillar 308DCR high-rail midi excavator;

A Fairmont Jackson 6700 ballast tamper;

Five spike pullers;

Three heavy duty rail cars;

A Pettibone 441B sped swing.
Other equipment highlights in the Chicago auction include three 2006
Caterpillar D6R Series III LGP bulldozers, two 2012 Caterpillar 236B3
skid steer loaders, a 2009 Cat 329 DL hydraulic excavator, more than 25
truck tractors and much more.
