Pretium Resources Inc. is facing a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia over trespassing in a remote area of B.C. The suit claims that Pretium has used a private airstrip and built roads on a 930-acre parcel, among other things. Pretium has refused to stop its activities, the suit complains.

The allegations are contained in a brief notice of claim filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Sept. 15, 2017. The suit was filed by a private company called Kitov Resources Inc. The sole defendant is Pretium.

The suit claims that Kitov is the owner of a 930-acre property located 40 kilometres north of Stewart, B.C. (The location puts the property in the same general area as Pretium's Brucejack mine.) According to the suit, the property has a cabin and an airstrip, both of which were in good condition when Kitov acquired the property.

Interesting. Let me speculate. This was an old titled mining lease from the turn of the century. Mr. Kitov saw numerous persons using it and was smart enough to buy it. Now he wants money for the use and all the stakeholders are reeling from having to pay for something that they thought was theirs.

Forget the suit and arbitrate....

The "Speculation" posted is Fake News to the extreme and verges on libel. Why say something so misleading?

The reality is that the land used by Pretium is private Freehold Land owned and payed for by Kitov Resources (a private mining company). KiTov pays the taxes each year. The KiTov land is just like the freehold land that you probably have your house built on. The matter has nothing to do with an "old titled mining lease" in anyway. That is made up nonsense and a deliberate lie. The fact is that Pretium used private freehold land to advance their project and yet denied that they were using it until they were caught. Later they admitted it. Cute. Pretium damaged the airstrip and enjoyed the use of the private land which helped them make their project so successful but left without bothering to pay. This is just like ordering a meal and then walking out without paying the bill. Not so cute. It is a typical example of a big company trying to push its way over a small company.

An additional comment. Since when do mining companies become stakeholders in private land? If that is the case then consider if someone came and staked a mining claim over your house and then move in and refused to pay any rent. Not so cute.

Dear Mr Caswell, the comments you made about me (Rod Salinger) are not correct and are misleading.

A simple phone call that was never made to me would have clarified the matter. Fact is that KiTov has owned the subject land since October 2006. The area is 930 acres of private freehold land - repeat private land. Contrary to wht you suggest KiTov has been involved in many mining projects.

As for mining activities I am actively engaged with Eilat Exploration as a director. I am regularly out in the field cracking rocks in Canada, Australia and elsewhere. As a matter of record Eilat holds a 100% interest in the Summit Lake mining claim tenements located 40 Km north of Stewart BC that cover some 62 Sq Km located to the south west of the freehold land owned by KiTov. Eilat and KiTov has spent a lot of money in exploration of this area including 2 airborne geophysical surveys, detailed soil sampling programs and rock sampling, underground exploration and has filed numerous assessment reports - see the online reports. We have made some very interesting discoveries. I have also managed mineral and petroleum exploration programs (seismic and drilling) in the other parts of the world. All of which has been privately funded and which most certainly qualifies KiTov as being in the mining and resources business.

Just because KiTov or Eialt do not have websites does not mean that they are not mining companies. Sometimes privacy is a virtue.

Also to note is that I was the person who single-handedly was successful in getting the Spectrum Project mining claims (now held by Skeena Resources SKE)removed from the Mt Edziza Park Provincial recreation area as a part of the LRMP process. I also had 2,000 acres of the Mt Edziza park converted to a no staking area in order to give a clear access corridor to the Spectrum Project. All of which was proclaimed and approved by the BC legislature. Something that very few people have ever accomplished. Perseverance and logic solved the problem that Spectrum suffered after the Mt Edziza park cut of its access.

I most respectfully submit that I have some experience in the mining industry.

The matter with Pretium has everything to do with illegal use of private land and not being paid and nothing to do with whether KiTov is a mining company or not.

As a matter of interest I invite you to meet with me some day instead of belittling me.

Regards

Rod

Caswell is a hack. Always taking extreme liberties with company news and belittling officers and directors.

Definitely the runt of the litter.
