PLATE RESOURCES INC. ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF 2016 EXPLORATION DRILLING PROGRAM AT LUCKY MIKE PROPERTY NEAR MERRITT B.C.

Plate Resources Inc. has completed phase 3 exploration of the Lucky Mike property near Swakum Mountain, 26 kilometres north of Merritt, B.C. The 29 claims of the Lucky Mike property comprise 6,085.74 hectares.

The program was financed by Korea Resources Corp. and Nexgeo Inc., which has the right to earn a 69-per-cent interest in the property by expending approximately $2.4-million from September, 2014, to Dec. 31, 2016.

The 2016 drill program consisted of seven drill holes totalling about 3,850 metres and was completed under the supervision of James Turner, PGeo, a qualified person. Core samples were submitted to Bureau Veritas Laboratory in Vancouver (formerly Acme Analytical Laboratory) with the results pending.

The primary objective the 2016 drilling was to investigate geological extensions of copper and molybdenum mineralization encountered in previous work programs.

Diamond drill hole data for the 2016 work program are shown in the attached table.
