PARKSIDE RESOURCES APPOINTS ANDREW CHEATLE AND GARY WILLIAMS TO ITS ADVISORY BOARD
Parkside Resources Corp. has appointed Andrew Cheatle, BSc (honours), geology, PGeo, MBA,
and Gary Williams, MSc, PGeo, to the company's advisory board.
Richard Goldman, president and chief executive officer of Parkside, commented: "As
Parkside Resources continues to advance its flagship Forester Lake gold
property, 35 kilometres southeast of Goldcorp's Musselwhite mine, and commences
exploration work on its newly optioned Wiggle Creek and Savant Lake gold
properties, the company will certainly benefit from the experience and knowledge
of both Andrew and Gary, particularly as it relates to gold-in-iron-formation
properties in Northwestern Ontario."
Mr. Cheatle is a mining executive and professional
geoscientist with over 25 years of international mineral exploration,
extraction, development and consulting experience in the gold sector. He is
president and chief executive officer of Unigold Inc. which is exploring and developing gold
deposits in the Dominican Republic. As the former chief geologist with Goldcorp
Inc./Placer Dome Inc. Mr. Cheatle successfully led a team that significantly
expanded the Musselwhite mine's mineral reserves and resources leading to
strategic mine development and expansion. Mr. Cheatle holds an MBA from Capella
University (USA) and a BSc (honours) in geology from the Royal School of Mines,
Imperial College, University of London. He is also past president of the
Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and a fellow of the
Geological Society of London.
Mr. Williams has practised in the geoscience industry for over
30 years, receiving an honours BSc in geology in 1977 and an MSc in
hydrogeology in 1993. He has conducted a wide range of exploration programs
throughout Canada. His experience has centred on exploration for uranium,
precious metals and base metals, focusing on the Athabasca basin in
Saskatchewan, the Thelon basin in Nunavut, as well as the Hemlo, Abitibi and
Mishibishu greenstone belts in Ontario. Being an active member of the
geosciences community, Mr. Williams was involved in the Association of Geoscientists of
Ontario qualified persons task force for the environmental geosciences, as well
as the discipline committee of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of
Ontario from its inception to May, 2008. Mr. Williams also served as Advance Exploration
Inc.'s president from September, 2004, to June, 2007.
Subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, Mr. Cheatle and Mr. Williams have each been granted an option
to purchase 50,000 shares of Parkside Resources Corp. at a price of five
cents per share, valid for three years, and vesting quarterly over one
year. The options will be governed by the provisions of Parkside's stock option
plan and the policies of the exchange and applicable securities laws.
