PEDRO RESOURCES APPOINTS CHRIS HOPKINS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Pedro Resources Ltd. has appointed Chris Hopkins to the board of directors and as chief financial officer of the company, effective immediately. Mr. Hopkins has over 30 years of financial management experience in the resource industry. He has spent most of his career in seniors roles with several public companies, including Kerr Mines Inc., U.S. Silver, Rio Algom, BHP Billiton and Suncor. He has broad junior resource experience in the areas of corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, and financial and management reporting. Mr. Hopkins holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Toronto, a master of business administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a chartered professional accountant.

Mr. Hopkins fills the vacancy created by Allen Ambrose, who has resigned as a director of the company, and replaces Brian Murray as chief financial officer. The board of directors thanks Mr. Ambrose for his service to the company over the years. Following the appointment of Mr. Hopkins, the board of directors of the company now consists of John McCleery, Larry Talbot, Brian Murray and Mr. Hopkins.
