Taylor says buy Orvana Minerals

2015-02-26 20:14 ET - In the News

Jay Taylor, in the Feb. 13, 2015, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, says buy Orvana Minerals Corp., recently 44 cents. Mr. Taylor said buy on Jan. 17, 2013, at 99 cents. Assuming a $1,000 investment for the buy, the position is now worth $444. Mr. Taylor says Orvana is perhaps the most undervalued cash flow-positive gold producer among its peers. In 2014, it generated $44.2-million (U.S.), or 32 U.S. cents a share, in cash flow, which means that at 35 U.S. cents (Feb. 12, 2015, price), the stock is selling at just over one times the company's annual operating cash flow. Orvana lost $29.7-million (U.S.) in the year, compared with earnings of $32.6-million (U.S.) in 2013. The editor is little concerned however, because $29.2-million (U.S.) of that loss represents reserve writedowns on lower metal prices. As well, the company paid off the last of a $31.8-million debt two years ahead of schedule. Mr. Taylor adds that significant upside exploration potential exists at both Orvana's EVBC mine in Spain and its Don Mario mine in Bolivia. For 2015, the company plans to drill another 20,000 metres at EVBC. Orvana is now in a very good position to implement its model of expanding organically, the editor concludes.
