NURAN WIRELESS RECEIVES AN OVER $1M ORDER FOR AFRICA

Nuran Wireless Inc. has received an over-$1-million order of its LiteCell 1.5 to be deployed for a Tier 1 operator by Africa Mobile Network (AMN) in Africa.

Following the successful trial announced on Nov. 29, 2016, Nuran received from AMN an initial order of hundreds of units of its LiteCell 1.5 to be delivered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in the first half of 2017. According to AMN's forecasts, the objective is to deploy thousands of units in the coming three to four years throughout Africa.

"Nuran has a rapidly growing sales pipeline of opportunities around the world, and this purchase order is further evidence that these opportunities are realistic.

"With over one billion people to be connected around the planet to basic mobile and data services, we are barely scratching the surface," states Martin Bedard, co-president of Nuran Wireless.

Building wireless infrastructure in many of these remote and rural areas was simply not feasible or economical for a mobile network operator (MNO). The Nuran Wireless LiteCell 1.5 breaks this barrier by providing an economical and viable solution. The LiteCell 1.5 is the lowest opex and lowest capex product available in the world and opens a new alternative to bring telephony and data to these unserved areas.
