Jay Taylor, in the June 17, 2015, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, says buy Nano One Materials Corp., recently 23 cents. This is the first time he has recommended the stock. Mr. Taylor explains that "nano" is a unit of measurement used to represent particles so small that 25.4 million of them could fit into one inch of space. These particles can take on different properties for many applications he adds, such as the manufacture of more efficient, less costly and longer-lasting batteries in electric cars. Nano is developing a process to make such batteries, and has filed 12 patents so far. Mr. Taylor believes the company's technology holds great promise because it requires one quarter of the steps of the existing process, allows the use of lower-cost raw materials and has been shown to produce cathodes (the negatively charged electrode of a battery) that last two to three times longer. Nano recently hired an engineering firm to design a commercial production facility, and expects to spend about $6-million to build a pilot plant within the next year. Mr. Taylor says the major risk here is whether Nano's technology will prove to be commercially scalable, but if so, the upside for investors who buy now could be very large.
