James Kwantes, in the April 12, 2015, edition of Resource Opportunities, tells readers why to buy North Arrow Minerals Inc., recently 80 cents. A previous editor of the newsletter, Tommy Humphreys, said buy on Sept. 30, 2014, at 58 cents. A $1,000 investment then is now worth $1,379. North Arrow released an update on March 30 about its Pikoo diamond project in Saskatchewan, where it discovered three new kimberlites. Given that it drilled 24 holes, the discovery of just three kimberlites may seem disappointing to investors, but North Arrow's management feels otherwise, says Mr. Kwantes. He recently met with president and chief executive officer Ken Armstrong, who noted that one of the discoveries, PK314, was found through a pyrope garnet anomaly. Mr. Kwantes explains that pyrope garnets are "one of the most important indicator minerals." Results from the Pikoo program are expected this summer. Meanwhile, North Arrow is awaiting an independent diamond valuation of samples from its Qilalugaq property in Nunavut, and may start a preliminary economic assessment if the results are good. Mr. Kwantes says Qilalugaq's geology and the presence of high-value yellow stones make him confident that the project will become a mine.
