The Investment Reporter, in its Jan. 29, 2016, issue, says buy Martinrea International Inc., recently $9.45. The Reporter said buy five times from July 1, 2005, to Nov. 28, 2014, at prices ranging from $5.70 to $11.36. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the five buys, the $5,000 position is now worth $5,178. Since the Reporter last examined the auto parts sector in its Sept. 4, 2015, issue, these stocks have gone up by an average of 2.4 per cent. This bodes well for auto parts manufacturers such as Ontario-based Martinrea. The company is expected to earn $1.62 a share in 2016, up 19.1 per cent from 2015. Based on this estimate, it trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 6.9 times. The company's price-to-cash-flow ratio is a decent 2.9 times, while its debt-to-cash-flow ratio is at 2.5 times. It currently pays a 12-cent dividend. Buy.
