Mitel appoints Fischer as SVP for EMEA

2015-10-06 07:45 ET - News Release

Mr. Graham Bevington reports

MITEL REINFORCES EUROPEAN MANAGEMENT TEAM AS MARKET BEGINS MIGRATION TO MOBILE FIRST AND CLOUD-ENABLED SOLUTIONS

Mitel Networks Corp. has appointed two new senior sales executives to further accelerate the company's market leading position in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). With the No. 1 market share position in EMEA and the industry's fastest-growing global cloud business, the appointments come as Mitel expands its cloud and integrated real-time communications offering across Western Europe.

Joining Mitel as senior vice-president for EMEA is Wolfram Fischer whose mandate is to further expand Mitel's position as a leading provider of cloud, mobile, contact centre and enterprise solutions across the region. Prior to joining Mitel, Mr. Fischer was at Aruba Networks EMEA and managed EMEA and APAC (Asia Pacific) for Siemens Enterprise Communications. He also worked at HP leading the professional services unit in EMEA, managing the enterprise hardware and service business in Germany, and was worldwide head of sales for the HP services unit.

Mitel has also appointed Christian Fron as vice-president of sales for the DACH (Deutschland, Austria and Switzerland) region having previously been managing director of DeTeWe. Mr. Fron's role will supplement the existing sales leads in EMEA:

  • Gijs Borsboom, vice-president, sales, Northern Europe;
  • Bernard Etchenagucia, vice-president, sales, Southern Europe;
  • Simon Skellon, vice-president, sales, United Kingdom;
  • Ciaran Kelly, vice-president, sales, MEA.

Mr. Fischer's and Mr. Fron's appointments coincide with the simplication of Mitel's Western Europe sales structure to drive further market opportunities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as a single DACH region. In doing so Mitel continues to support existing channel partner relationships and will allow key VARs to maintain relationships established across the region under Mitel's leadership.
