SONIA BAXENDALE APPOINTED TO LAURENTIAN BANK'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Laurentian Bank of Canada has appointed Sonia Baxendale to the board of directors.
Ms. Baxendale is well known within the Canadian banking and wealth management industry. She worked as a senior executive at CIBC for two decades. She left CIBC in 2011 as president of retail banking and wealth management. Prior to that, she held various positions with Amex Bank of Canada and Saatchi & Saatchi. She is also a board member of CI Financial Corp. and Foresters Financial.
Her seasoned expertise, combined with her extensive knowledge of the issues affecting the financial sector, will complement Laurentian Bank's board in terms of professional experiences, competencies and geographic representation. She will join the audit committee of the bank.
