Keek runs contest for Teen Choice Awards 2014

TEEN CHOICE 2014 PARTNERS WITH KEEK TO FIND THE NEXT GENERATION OF ON-AIR TALENT FANS VIE FOR CHANCE TO INTERVIEW THEIR FAVORITE CELEBS ON THE RED CARPET IN THE FIRST EVER RED CARPET MEET & KEEK COMPETITION

Keek Inc. has entered a partnership today with Teen Choice 2014, designed to give teens the unprecedented opportunity to be a part of the preawards show and interview their favourite celebrities on the red carpet. The Red Carpet show will be live streamed on the Teen Choice Awards website from 4:30 to 8 p.m. ET live. Teen Choice 2014 airs on Sunday, Aug. 10 (8 to 10 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed), on Fox. Keek is the mobile social video network that empowers people around the globe to connect and share self-expression in 36 seconds. It's beloved by millions of teens and young adults worldwide. Beginning today, leading up to the entry deadline on Aug. 7 at 11:59 p.m. ET, teens can use the Keek video app to film a short video of themselves "auditioning" for a chance to win. The Teen Choice 2014 producers will view the submissions and select the most charismatic, fun and creative keeks from thousands of fan submissions. This is the first time anyone outside the press will have the opportunity to be invited to interview the stars on the red carpet. Contest rules are posted on Keek's website, along with instructions on how to enter.

The winner will also have the opportunity to attend Teen Choice 2014, VIP style, which will include having their photos taken on the red carpet, participating in an exclusive backstage tour and VIP seating during the awards show.

The Red Carpet Meet & Keek contest can bring fans into the action in a way that integrates video and social media like never before. It is the ultimate fan inclusion opportunity, by which viewers 13 and older can submit their videos using the Keek video app or the Keek website. Keek programming staff and Teen Choice 2014 producers will also be "live keeking" during the broadcast, so millions of fans at home can get a behind-the-scenes experience at the awards.

Hosted by Tyler Posey ("Teen Wolf"), Teen Choice 2014 celebrates the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the Web. Among the celebrities scheduled to appear are Hilary Duff, Megan Fox, Fifth Harmony, Kevin Hart, Colton Haynes, Josh Hutcherson, Sarah Hyland, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Lea Michele, The Band Perry, Nat Wolff, Keegan Allen, Jake T. Austin, Tyler Blackburn, Lucy Hale, Big Show, Jamie Blackley, Ian Harding, Kellan Lutz, MKTO, Chloe Grace Moretz, Cody Simpson, Hailee Steinfeld, Gregg Sulkin, Bella Thorne and Zendaya. The special also will feature performances by Demi Lovato, Rita Ora, Jason Derulo, Magic! and Rixton.

"We launched the Teen Choice Awards in an effort to give young fans an opportunity to choose which celebrities are recognized for their work in any given year. But, this year, not only are we giving them a 'choice' -- we are providing an opportunity to participate," said Teen Choice co-executive producer Michael Burg.
