JAXON APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR

Jaxon Minerals Inc. has appointed Jason Cubitt as president and director.

Mr. Cubitt has 25 years of experience working with resource companies in various capacities as founder, finance agent and institutional investor. Most recently, Mr. Cubitt was director of investments for Vertus Investment Advisory and Ascenta Asset Management, offshore investment advisory firms for which he was responsible for precious metals and special situations mining and energy funds.

Effective immediately, Mr. Cubitt will assume the role of president and director. He will be responsible for executing on the company's strategy, including the advancement of exploration work on Price Creek, the company's newly acquired silver-zinc-lead-gold massive sulphide property and the identification of new strategic acquisitions.

The company has accepted the resignation of Leif Smither as president and would like to thank him for his years of stewardship as president and a founding director. Mr. Smither will remain as a director of the company.
