HFX HOLDING CORP. ANNOUNCES TERMINATION OF
PROPOSED QUALIFYING TRANSACTION

Vancouver, British Columbia � HFX Holding Corp. (the "Company"), a capital pool company pursuant to
Policy 2.4 of the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSXV"), announces that the letter of intent entered into
between the Company and Monarch Mining & Environmental Services Inc. on July 17, 2012 and
subsequently amended on July 25, 2012, as previously disclosed in the Company's news release of July
30, 2012, has been terminated.
Management of the Company will continue to identify and evaluate businesses and assets with a view to
completing a Qualifying Transaction under the CPC policy of the TSXV.
The common shares of the Company are expected to resume trading on the TSXV upon receiving TSXV
approval.
