FORUM ANNOUNCES $225,000 NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Forum Energy Metals Corp. has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to 4.5 million units at a price of five cents per unit for total proceeds of $225,000. Each unit comprises one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant is exercisable to purchase one common share of the company at a price of 10 cents per share for a period of 18 months from the date of closing of the financing.

The private placement is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval and all securities are subject to a four-month hold period. Finders' fees will be payable in connection with the private placement (all in accordance with the policies of the TSX-V).

The proceeds from this financing will be used for exploration of the company's Janice Lake copper project, the acquisition of cobalt assets in Idaho and Oregon, and working capital.
