ENCANTO POTASH CONGRATULATES MUSKOWEKWAN CHIEF AND COUNCILLORS ON SUCCESSFUL ELECTION RESULTS
Encanto Potash Corp. has offered its congratulations to chief Reginald Bellerose and all returning and new council members on their election as chief and council of the Muskowekwan First Nation. This is the sixth consecutive term for Mr. Bellerose, and he received overwhelming support once again.
The voting took place on Monday, March 30, 2015, and was administered by a returning officer appointed by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC). The following is a list of the successful candidates for the council seats:
- Leon Wolfe (incumbent);
- Calvin Wolfe (incumbent);
- Jamie Wolfe (incumbent);
- Holly Geddes (newly elected);
- Cindy Raphael (newly elected);
- Linda Hunter (newly elected);
- Willie Pinacie (newly elected);
- Terry Wolfe (newly elected).
Encanto president and chief executive officer Jim Walchuck commented: "Encanto has always appreciated the positive and progressive partnership with the chief, council and Muskowekwan First Nation members. We congratulate the chief and incumbent councillors who were re-elected and welcome the new councillors as well. We continue to look forward to working together with the chief, council and all Muskowekwan members over the next important few years as we remain intent on taking the flagship Muskowekwan project from feasibility study and well into the construction period for a new potash mine."
