DynaCERT touts HG1-45 model installations

2018-09-17 07:23 ET - News Release

Mr. Murray Payne reports

DYNACERT CONTINUES NEW GLOBAL INSTALLATIONS AND SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS

DynaCERT Inc. has made significant progress in its key marketing and design endeavours.

Global installations

DynaCERT is pleased to announce that global installations of its new HG1-45 models are under way and advancing very successfully. Of note are the following installations and advanced negotiations.

Several HG1-45B units have been shipped and are being installed in Bangladesh, Brazil and India.

Of significant note is DynaCERT's dealer in South Asia that has had many meetings in West Bengal and Bangladesh with authorities to begin verification trials on buses, transports, power generators and fishing vessels and with a view to implementing large orders backed by Export Development Corp. (EDC). EDC is a Crown corporation owned by the government of Canada and whose mandate is to foster international trade by supporting Canadian businesses to sell their products internationally throughout the world. As these installations are on older diesel technology engines that are typically Euro2 rated, the end-users are reporting to DynaCERT reductions in fuel consumption and improvements in engine power within a week of the start of use.

DynaCERT's dealer in Brazil has met with local authorities whose mandates are strongly focused on carbon emission reductions. Several units shipped last month to Brazil are now installed on different machinery and transports. Of particular note is one logging truck operating at 10 kilometres per hour for a distance of only 50 kilometres per day hauling heavy loads, 40 tonnes of logs, which is already experiencing fuel savings.

The first of its kind, the HG1-45-4C unit, is to be installed onto a 1.5-megawatt generator in the Middle East. It is currently in transit from Dubai to its final destination in a remote desert where it will be installed onto one of 12 diesel generators. The customer of DynaCERT's Middle East dealer, a very large industrial equipment manufacturer and operator, runs over 500 power plants in the region. This model HG1-45-4C unit is expected to be used throughout the Middle East on generators that power the requirements of small villages and oil-refining plants. DynaCERT has been advised that every jurisdiction in the region is seeking cost-effective and sustainable solutions, their primary focus being carbon emissions reduction.

Development of DynaCERT's large engine HG-145-6C unit has passed through functional testing. The HG1-45-6C is targeted and appropriate for engines of 80 to 100 litres in size for commercial mining machinery, such as the CAT 797F large-haul ore truck. DynaCERT is now ready to ship its first of such units to a large gold mining operation in Northern Quebec.

The first of type, the HG1-45-F unit, is installed onto a large combine in Western Canada for this year's annual harvest. This HG1-45-F unit is expected to operate 24 hours per day for the next two months.

European trade show

DynaCERT is participating at the international IAA Transport trade show (IAA) in Hannover, Germany, from Sept. 19 to Sept. 27, 2018. The IAA is the largest trade show for commercial vehicles, drawing over 2,000 exhibitors from 52 countries that present their innovations on the show grounds in Hannover. The IAA facility is 270,000 square metres (2.9 million square feet) in 27 buildings. IAA is the world's most important trade fair for transport, logistics and mobility. DynaCERT already has many large interested parties scheduling meetings with representatives of the company during the show.

European testing results and homologation

Officially, the European homologation testing results will be released at the IAA. In advance of the release, DynaCERT is pleased to report that after two months of testing to the important standards of international protocols WTNE and WHSC on an HG1-45B unit mounted on a MAN TGX 18.460 Euro 6 long-haul truck, very positive results were achieved.

These extremely positive results include an 8.9-per-cent improvement in fuel consumption, an 8.7-per-cent reduction in carbon dioxide, an 88-per-cent reduction in nitrogen dioxide, a 52-per-cent reduction in total hydrocarbons (THC), a 54.5-per-cent reduction in particulate matter (PM) and a 74.3-per-cent reduction in particulate number.

The testing also confirmed that the use of DynaCERT's HydraGEN technology improved the life of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and reduced the expected consumption of the diesel emission fluid (DEF).

These testing protocols included a baseline dynamometer test, installation of the HG1-45B unit onto the side of the frame, approximately 30 days of driving in a commercial use application and an ensuing final test on the dynamometer. There was also a subsequent on-the-road portable emission measuring system (PEMS) test, which conclusively confirmed that the emission results on the dynamometer were matched with real-life test and they were not computer controlled results.

These results, together with the previously reported positive testing reports conducted by TUV SUD, confirm that DynaCERT's HydraGEN technology meets the requirements for homologation in Europe.

About DynaCERT Inc.

DynaCERT manufactures, distributes and installs carbon emission reduction technology for use with internal combustion engines. As part of the growing global hydrogen economy, the company's patent-pending technology creates hydrogen and oxygen on demand through electrolysis and supplies these through the air intake to enhance combustion, resulting in lower carbon emissions and greater fuel efficiency. The company's technology is designed for use with all types and sizes of diesel engines used in on-road vehicles, reefer trailers, off-road construction, power generation, mining and forestry equipment, marine vessels, and railway locomotives.
