DuSolo Fertilizers Inc. has filed a petition in the Supreme Court of British Columbia complaining about several posts in the Stockhouse forums that falsely link the company's management with fraudulent activity. Among other things, the posts called the company a pump-and-dump and said that one of its shareholders was a "con man." The posts also criticized the company's president, Eran Friedlander, over his divorce from television personality Jody Claman.

The allegations are contained in a petition DuSolo filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Monday, Feb. 16, against Stockhouse Publishing Ltd. The petition complains about messages that appeared in the Stockhouse forums between Dec. 19, 2014, and Feb. 2, 2015. The authors were several users identified only by their on-line names, which included pumpanddump123, BuyerBewareUSA, King335, pippyrightstock and fraudwatch15. The company is seeking court orders that will allow it to identify the users.

Once again, I always redflag any company that goes after SH posters. the track record of companys that do is dismal. Personally, I don't see any defamation here - esp when you just provide links to public news storys.

This seems like a great use of shareholders money.

Lame. These guys should spend more time running their company. Lol

Please, please. Don't be so harsh, gentle readers.

These are perilous times in the junior markets, and a company which can raise capital without diluting shareholders should be lauded for its visionary activity.

The company's latest year-end financials show revenue of zip, cash-cost expenses of $2.28 million and a positive cash position of $3.2 million.

Presuming that expenses and revenue may remain the same over the coming year (and the coming year is four-and-a-half-months old; the financials are dated September 30, 2014), then a prudent company can’t be faulted for wanting to conserve shareholders’ cash by looking for easy pickings outside of the financial markets.

While I’m no legal expert (nor a trained estimator of bullboard posters’ financial positions), a scan of the comments leads me to believe that the posters are intelligent individuals who just might be high net-worth punters who may have hoped to make millions by playing the market fluctuations created by postings.

Shareholders should be thankful that it’s the company which will be suing the posters (after SH coughs up the contact information, of course), as, IMO, it was very generous of Mr. Friedlander to step away from such a sure-fire money maker and allow DSF to reap the benefits.

Be it far from me to meddle in the affairs of a publicly traded company, but might I suggest that, after a divorce, money is always useful in restoring wholeness to both divorced parties and an equitable portion of windfall winnings should go to Mr. Friedlander to do with as he wishes?

Friedlander is not doing himself any favors going after SH posters....unless of course those posters got a little too close to the truth.

I actually read these posts before they got taken down by SH, and I assure you that it was quite malicious. Eran Friedlander is going through an extremely messy divorce from his ex-Real Housewife of Vancouver, these people/posts may be related to that. DuSolo actually seems like a good company to me, they just put the old T.MBC Direct Application Natural Fertilizer facility into production. Things should start to pick-up here March/April as the rainy season ends in Brazil.

Eran has every right to sue these SH posters. In fact, I would like to see SH sued. Defamation online is serious and posters should be accountable for their comments. Most of these posters are cowards.

Those posters should have been smart and declared themselves a corporation, then they are free from all personal accountability.
