Edward Yurkowski has purchased three million common shares of Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc. pursuant to a private transaction. Prior to the purchase of the shares, Mr. Yurkowski owned 7,096,000 common shares of the company.

At present, Mr. Yurkowski owns an aggregate of 10,096,000 shares of the company, or approximately 19.12 per cent of the outstanding common shares of the company. Mr. Yurkowski also holds warrants for the purchase of an additional one million common shares of the company and stock options for the purchase of an additional 150,000 common shares of the company. Upon the exercise of these warrants and stock options in full, Mr. Yurkowski would own a total of 11,246,000 common shares of the company, or approximately 20.84 per cent of the company's then issued and outstanding share capital, assuming no other shares of the company are issued.

Mr. Yurkowski has acquired the shares for investment purposes and may acquire further securities of the company for investment purposes, in the market or privately, from time to time.
