APPOINTMENT OF JACQUES WORTMAN TO BOARD AND AS CEO

Consolidated Westview Resource Corp. has appointed Jacques Wortman as director, president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Wortman is a private businessman and director of Wortman Mining Consulting Services (WMCS), which focuses on the identification, assessment and valuation of high-quality mining projects. Mr. Wortman has worked in a corporate development consulting capacity for Elgin Mining Inc. and Dynasty Metals & Mining Inc. and prior to that was vice-president, corporate development, of Aura Minerals Inc. Mr. Wortman was in mining equity research for 13 years, including nine years as a mining analyst at GMP Securities. Mr. Wortman holds a bachelor of science (geology) degree from Mount Allison University and a master of business administration (finance) degree from Saint Mary's University.

Richard Silas has stepped down as president and chief executive officer of the company but will remain as corporate secretary and a director.
