CALDWELL ANNOUNCES DARCY MORRIS AS NEW BOARD DIRECTOR
Following on the heels of the best quarter in Caldwell Partners International Inc.'s history, long-serving director Dick Innes has elected to retire from the board of directors.
Darcy Morris, founder and chief executive officer of Ewing Morris & Co. Investment Partners, has been invited to join the board and he has accepted. He currently serves on the board of ZCL Composites Inc., the Toronto Public Library Foundation and the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) Foundation. Mr. Morris will be a valued member of all of board committees, which include the audit; nominating, corporate governance and compensation; and investment committees.
"We are pleased to have Mr. Morris join our board," said G. Edmund King, chair of the board. "Darcy's extensive capital markets and finance experience will further enhance our expertise and strength. We remain committed to enhancing shareholder returns and we believe that Darcy will make a significant contribution to that end in an increasingly dynamic and global executive search environment."
"Caldwell comprises a group of high-quality, driven partners with excellent brand reputation," said Mr. Morris. "I look forward to helping the firm strengthen its value proposition to existing and prospective partners, while at the same time driving value for all shareholders."
"Mr. Innes joined the board in 2009 and has brought positive energy and much insight to the deliberation of the board. On behalf of his colleagues and all of the shareholders, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Dick," said Mr. King.
Mr. Morris will join the board as soon as possible, following the completion of routine administrative matters.
