Crown Capital Partners Inc. will begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange as an industrial issuer at the open on Thursday, July 9, 2015, according to the TSX. As in the June 30, 2015, prospectus for its initial public offering, Crown plans to sell 5.91 million shares at $11 each, raising $65.01-million. It has granted the underwriters an overallotment option to buy up to 886,500 more shares at the same price for 30 days from the closing of the offering. The company is a specialty finance company that provides capital to successful Canadian companies and select U.S. companies that are unwilling or unable to obtain financing from traditional capital providers. Crown anticipates paying a quarterly dividend, initially at an annual rate of 4 per cent based on the offering price. Assuming a July 9 closing date, the first dividend is expected to be paid for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2015, to shareholders of record on Dec. 31, 2015.
