Chilean Metals Inc. has defeated a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia from its former president, George Sookochoff, over unpaid management fees, and has won the return of $81,600 in fees it should not have paid to start with. Mr. Sookochoff had complained that the company did not pay him for several months worth of work in 2012. A judge, however, has found that he kept billing the company $15,000 per month even though his contract had expired and the company was clearly in financial difficulty.
The decision, released on Monday, March 2, comes after a four-day trial in July, 2014, to hear Mr. Sookochoff's case. He claimed that Chilean Metals (then known as International PBX Ventures Ltd.) owed him $101,747 for his services under a $15,000-per-month contract it had with his private holding company, Geocomp Data Management Inc. He said that Chilean was "unjustly enriched," having received the benefit of his work without paying him.

Greedy Georgie Porgie...trying to squeeze every last drop of unearned monies from a distressed company. Best to remember Georgie's name...and consider his actions if, as or when he ever lands another job in a pubco as it is bound to be a lifestyle deal??
