Carbon Friendly Solutions Inc.'s president, Stan Lis, denies that he told a shareholder the company would hit $10. Mr. Lis, who is responding to a lawsuit from the shareholder, says that any such guarantee would be unenforceable. He asks that the court dismiss the suit.

The suit was launched in the Provincial Court of British Columbia on May 17, 2012, by Rahamin Amram, a Carbon Friendly shareholder who complains that his shares went down in value after Mr. Lis said the company would hit $10. According to the suit, Mr. Lis said that "major things were about to happen with the company and that the shares were going to appreciate greatly in value." Mr. Amram purchased 297,000 shares, paying $84,761 (about 28 cents a share), the suit stated.

The stock then "did not appreciate in value but suffered a material decline in value." (It was last at 18 cents.) Mr. Amram said that Mr. Lis negligently or recklessly misrepresented the value of the stock. The suit sought $25,000 in damages.

Now that the whole green scam has ebbed...a $10 bill for a green stock seems kind of silly.

Even if Mr. Lis suggested that the stock would hit $10 I can't imagine him putting a time-frame on that. In that case Mr. Amram is jumping the gun. The company has recently put out good news that could form the basis of more announcements in the future. In my opinion the stock has an excellent upside...but I wouldn't go out on a limb and forecast a price, as I'm sure Mr. Lis has not done either.

Anyone who buys a TSX-V stock should never feel any more secure than sitting at the craps table in some Casino in Las Vegas. Amram sounds like a poor loser, stick to blue chips. Never wager what you cant afford to lose.At least at the TSX-V you usually get to bring some money home. Next time you lose in Las Vegas, go ask the Mafia for your money back because your room came with a Rabbit's foot.

there's an old saying: "give them a date, and give them a price, but never give them both at once"

plaintiff is a well known howe st hustler and is simply making trouble for the defendant probably because he didn't sign him up to some nutty market making nonsense

Such a guarantee would be unenforceable. Those are the best kind of guarantees to give eh Stan.
