2014-09-22 15:46 ET - News Release

Mr. Wayne Wadley reports

CERF INCORPORATED ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER 30 2014 DIVIDEND OF $0.06 PER SHARE

The board of directors CERF Inc. has declared a cash dividend to the shareholders of six cents per share for the third quarter of 2014. This quarterly dividend, if continued in future quarters for the remainder of the year, will amount to 24 cents per share on an annualized basis. Payment will be made on or about Oct. 15, 2014, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Sept. 30, 2014. The ex dividend date will be Sept. 26, 2014.

Dividend reinvestment plan

CERF provides eligible holders of common shares with the advantage of accumulating additional common shares by reinvesting their cash dividends through enrolment in the dividend reinvestment plan. Shareholders who wish to enroll in the plan for the first time must do so prior to the Sept. 26, 2014, ex dividend date if they wish to participate in the plan for this quarter's dividend.

Brokerage entitlement and corporate actions departments are encouraged to ensure that they have properly elected with Clearing and Depository Services Inc. (CDS) those shares that should participate in the plan, no later than Sept. 29, 2014, the business day prior to the record date.

Enrolling

Shareholders who own their shares through a brokerage firm and who wish to participate in the plan should call their broker and instruct them to enroll their shares.

Shareholders who hold certificates in their own name (registered shareholders) and who wish to enroll can find out more from Valiant Trust Company by calling 1-866-313-1872.

Investors are cautioned that future dividends are always subject to approval of the board, and may be increased, decreased or suspended by the board at any time.

All dividends paid by CERF to common shareholders will be designated as eligible dividends as defined in Section 89(1) of the Income Tax Act of Canada unless otherwise indicated.
