AVIGILON DEEPLY SADDENED BY THE LOSS OF TERRY NEELY, SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT, EMERGING TECHNOLOGY
Terry Neely, senior vice-president, emerging technology, of Avigilon Corp., has passed away due to complications
related to an unfortunate accident he recently suffered at his home.
On July 20, Mr. Neely passed on, surrounded by family and friends. Mr.
Neely is survived by his wife and his three children.
Mr. Neely's career spanned over 25 years. A true innovator, Mr. Neely
was one of the most knowledgeable individuals in the access control
industry. Prior to joining Avigilon, Mr. Neely was founder, president
and chief technology officer at RedCloud Security Inc., which was
acquired by Avigilon in 2013. Mr. Neely also spent six years as vice-president of engineering at Honeywell Access Systems, a product
development team of Honeywell International.
"It is with a heavy heart and deeply felt sympathy that we are
announcing the loss of Terry Neely. I had the pleasure of getting to
know Terry during the acquisition of RedCloud last year. Terry was a
valued colleague who will be greatly missed," said Alexander Fernandes,
founder, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board, Avigilon. "We wish
to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family at this difficult
time."
