Jay Taylor, in the Nov. 14, 2014, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, says sell Aurvista Gold Corp., recently five cents. Mr. Taylor said buy four times from Oct. 17, 2011, to Dec. 18, 2013, at prices ranging from three cents to 42 cents. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the four buys, selling the $4,000 position at five cents would yield a loss of $1,481. Mr. Taylor is intrigued by Aurvista's project in Quebec, which already has an open-pit resource of three million ounces, even though only five kilometres of the 20-kilometre-long property (extending along the Casa Berardi South break) have been explored. As well, Aurvista recently appointed geologist Jean Lafleur as its president and chief executive officer, further pleasing Mr. Taylor. He plans to keep an eye on this stock. For the moment, however, it is better as a tax-loss sale.
