AUREUS MINING INC. - GRANT OF STOCK OPTIONS

Pursuant to the terms of the company's stock option plan, Aureus Mining Inc. has granted 250,000 incentive stock options at an exercise price of 74 cents per share, being equal to the closing price of the common shares on Aug. 14, 2012, on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Two hundred fifty thousand options are exercisable immediately and for a period of five years from Aug. 15, 2012. No consideration was paid for the options.
