ASIAN MINERAL RESOURCES ANNOUNCES NEW CHAIRMAN

Asian Mineral Resources Ltd. has appointed James Askew as non-executive chairman of the board, replacing Michael Brown, effective Jan. 1, 2015. Michael Brown will remain as a non-executive director of the company.

Commenting on the changes, Stephen Gill, non-executive director of AMR, said: "We welcome Jim in his role as chairman of the board. On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Mike for his contribution and leadership during his tenure as chairman."

Mr. Askew is a mining engineer with over 35 years of international mining and business experience, leading numerous mining service and mining companies. He has served as director, president and chairman of International Mining and Finance Corp. (IMF) since January, 1997, also as managing and chief executive officer. Mr. Askew currently serves as a director of Evolution Mining Ltd., and chairman of Syrah Resources and OceanaGold Corp. He founded Golden Shamrock Mines, James Askew & Associates (Australian Mining Consultants -- AMC) and co-founded Ausdrill.
