BOARD CHANGE

Further to its release dated Sept. 17, 2012, Peter Boycott, Anglo Pacific Group PLC's executive chairman, is still on leave of absence for health reasons. Mr. Boycott continues in his role as a director of the company. The board has agreed that, in his absence, Brian Wides will now serve as acting chairman with immediate effect. Mr. Wides is executive director of International Business Development and was appointed to the board as an executive director in June, 1997. Michael Atkinson continues as a non-executive director of the company and is currently the company's senior independent director.
