Brien Lundin, in the February, 2017, edition of the Gold Newsletter, refreshes his buy of Almaden Minerals Ltd., recently $1.35. Mr. Lundin previously said buy 16 times from September, 2002, to December, 2016, at prices ranging from 55 cents to $4.27. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the 16 buys, the $16,000 position is now worth $15,691. Almaden is conducting infill and expansion drilling at the Ixtaca deposit, part of its flagship Tuligtic project in Mexico. Recent highlights include 105 metres of 1.2 grams per tonne gold and 87.1 g/t silver, 38.6 metres of 1.08 g/t gold and 106.2 g/t silver, and 32.6 metres of 1.39 g/t gold and 44.1 g/t silver. Almaden is simultaneously moving forward with a prefeasibility program for Tuligtic. Although Mr. Lundin believes Almaden capable of becoming a producer, he expects that a suitor will emerge before that happens. Any suitor will likely have to offer a sizable premium to the current share price, making now a good time to stock up.
