Stock Pickers Digest, in its November, 2015, issue, says buy AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., recently $28.27. Previously, Stock Pickers said buy only once -- in May, 2015, at $28.09. Assuming a $1,000 investment for the single buy, the $1,000 position would now be worth $989. AGT has acquired Mobil Capital Holdings for $57.5-million. Mobil owns a movable crop-processing plant, short-line railways, bulk-loading plants, and a grain and pulse trading operation. Most of these assets are in Saskatchewan. This acquisition follows AGT's $22-million purchase of West Central Road & Rail's assets in June, 2015. That transaction included five bulk-loading sites in Saskatchewan. The newsletter says such large purchases are important as the company shifts to more profitable products such as ingredients and packaged foods. The new operations should help ensure that AGT can supply its manufacturing plant and continue its growth. The stock continues to be a buy.
