The TSX Venture Exchange closed up 1.77 points to 677.08 Wednesday. Luke Norman's halted capital pool shell, BRS Ventures Ltd. (BRV), plans to acquire a gold property option for its qualifying transaction. The shell, which has 12,941,659 issued shares, will issue 200,000 shares and pay $10,000 to optionor Anstag Mining Ltd. for the Margurete property in British Columbia. To earn a 100-per-cent interest in Margurete, the resulting issuer must spend $1-million on exploration within a generous time frame of five years.

Anstag Mining is owned by Vancouver resource promoter Reza Mohammed. In the past three years, Anstag has also optioned three Saskatchewan properties to junior explorers Noka Resources Inc. (NX: $0.125), Lakeland Resources Inc. (now called ALX Uranium Corp. (AL: $0.08)) and Remstar Resources Ltd. (now called Avarone Metals Inc. (AVM: $0.08)).

The Margurete gold property covers 678 hectares in the well-explored Phillips Arm area in southwestern B.C. Work has been conducted in the area on and off for decades. It includes geochemical surveys, ground-based geophysics, mapping, rock chip sampling and drilling. The area also contains some historical mines.
