The TSX Venture Exchange added 2.65 points to 1,008.24 Monday. Today, two medical marijuana companies, Bedrocan Cannabis Corp. (BED) and OrganiGram Holdings Inc. (OGI), started trading. Technically, OrganiGram was not a shell company; this is just a change of business.

Bedrocan was the third most active stock on the TSX-V. It opened at $1.25, shot up to $1.45, fell back to $1 and then closed at $1.17 on 5.57 million shares. Bedrocan sold an $11.47-million private placement at 85 cents in connection with its going-public transaction. Those subscribers are up about 37 per cent. The IPO shareholders of Pat DiCapo's capital pool, POCML 2 Inc. (PCC), which Bedrocan used to go public, have done much better. The shell sold its IPO at 15 cents in May, 2013. The IPO shares were rolled back 1:2 as part of the QT, making each share worth a postconsolidated 30 cents and giving IPO shareholders a return of nearly 400 per cent. Shell packager Mr. DiCapo has already started the paperwork for a new capital pool shell, POCML 3 Inc., but he has yet to file the preliminary prospectus.
