The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a slow 46-37-168. The TSX Venture Exchange gained three points to 588, while polished diamond prices inched higher. Ken MacNeill and George Read's Shore Gold Inc. (SGF) closed unchanged at 17.5 cents on 87,000 shares. Shore has been trading listlessly although the company seems certain to spruce up its economic projections for a Star-Orion South diamond mine in central Saskatchewan, thanks to its recent $6-million drill program. There should be few surprises, since the 12 new holes tested an inferred resource. Robert Mintak's Pure Energy Minerals Ltd. (PE) gained 3.5 cents to 35 cents on 3.37 million shares. On Tuesday, Pure rolled out a big but lower-grade resource estimate for Clayton Valley, a lithium brine deposit in Nevada. Today, the stock began trading on the OTCQB, which Mr. Mintak says will provide "greater exposure." It appears to have worked.
