The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a mediocre 46-52-168. The TSX Venture Exchange fell one point to 787 while polished diamond prices jumped 0.4 per cent. Ken MacNeill and George Read's Shore Gold Inc. (SGF) fell one-half cent to 19 cents on 65,000 shares. Shore is the only diamond company with a booth at the Mines and Money dog and pony show which opens next week in London. Shore, which might have a Saskatchewan diamond mine if it can find the money to build it, has a booth in the far corner of the exhibit hall -- about as far from the main entrance and the main corridor between conference halls as one can get. Fortunately, it is parked near one of several catering stations that circle the perimeter of the hall; perhaps a banker who has never heard of Shore, but who has $2-billion to lend, will stop by, cup of tea in hand. Ron Roda's Alabama Graphite Corp. (ALP) fell one-half cent to 18.5 cents on 466,000 shares. The company has a graphite resource at Coosa in Alabama and is seeking a richer one at nearby Bama.
