It looks like the B.C. Securities Commission will get a chance to interview Dan Clozza, the former president of Forum National Investments Ltd. A judge in the Supreme Court of British Columbia has directed Mr. Clozza to attend an interview within 30 days. He must come alone, but may bring a lawyer.
The ruling, handed down on March 15, 2017, comes as part of the BCSC's investigation into a possible manipulation at Forum National Investments. As part of its process, the BCSC had sought to speak with Mr. Clozza, who was the company's president. The regulator wanted him to provide evidence under oath, and to keep the subject of the conversation private. (The B.C. Securities Act, through Section 144, allows investigators to compel attendance at an interview. To protect the integrity of the investigation, the BCSC may also order the person attending the interview to keep quiet about the matter.)
