West Vancouver's Terry Alexander has lost his bid to overturn a permanent officer and director ban that the B.C. Securities Commission imposed on him in 2007. In a unanimous decision handed down on Thursday, March 14, the Court of Appeal for British Columbia has ruled that the permanent ban was a reasonable outcome, after Mr. Alexander ignored a prior 20-year ban that he received in 1999. The BCSC's process was "procedurally fair and in accordance with the rules of natural justice," the appeal court has found.

Mr. Alexander was trying to have a permanent ban overturned that he received for serving as a de facto director of a Canadian Venture Exchange listing, Pinewood Resources Ltd., in 2001. The BCSC claimed that he secretly controlled the company, in violation of a 20-year ban that he accepted in 1999 after the Arakis Energy Corp. fiasco.

This must be so upsetting to Terry!!! Incorrectly stated that he lives with the plebs in *North* Vancouver, when we all know he has a lovely spot in West Vancouver.

@Dean

Do you think that he'll sue? Try to get the $200,000 back by way of alleging defamation-by-false-residency (North vs West)?

Speaking as an individual who has no dog in the fight (I reside near Point Gray Road), I think that there are lovely spots in both North and West Vancouver...but both must be accessed from Vancouver by way of those bothersome bridges.

Dear Harbinder:

Sounds like a North Vanner pretending to be a West Vanner by way of the usual imaginary ''North Shore" exemption.

Anyone living on or 'near' Point Grey' Rd would know how to spell it.

Maybe you pass 'near' it driving to Marpole.

Incidentally we enjoy the bridge as its a convenient obstacle for others. Why do you think we choose to live here?

By the way, always liked TA. Great guy, great promoter and all around good fellow! Keep up the good fight Terry!

Harpinder, dude! I have no idea where in Surrey there is a Point "Gray" Road. Reminds me of the dudes how live in Surrey but lay claim to living in White Rock because it sounds better.

As to Terry's humble abode in West Vancouver...absolutely cannot hold a candle to his castle up at Pender. Truly an amazing piece of property...reminds one of the Great Gatsby. And Harpy old pal, yes...I know they have a Great *Gadsby* in Surrey as well. Entirely different dude.

Arakis fiasco? forced to sell by USA, bought by Talisman then Talisman forced to sell by USA, China buys for a few BILLION $, 10 refineries later, and USA now trying to force China to sell? or stop oil production? Arakis probably was the best VSE deal ever- amount of oil production exceeded any of the mineral deposits found by juniors and mined.
