Board meetings at Canadian Securities Exchange listing MGX Minerals Inc. may have become a little tense, with the company's chairman, Marc Bruner, having filed a case against the company in the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He claims that MGX is unfairly withholding shares that he earned as part of his consulting agreement. Mr. Bruner is seeking a declaration that MGX is acting in bad faith and that its affairs are being conducted in an unfairly prejudicial manner.
The allegations are contained in a petition that Mr. Bruner filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Wednesday, May 16. He identifies himself as a "leading expert in unconventional oil and gas development" in North America and internationally. He says that he has founded and sat on the boards of many oil and gas companies.
