WESCAN ENERGY ANNOUNCES EXTENSION TO CLOSING DATE FOR PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF OIL AND GAS PROPERTIES IN CENTRAL ALBERTA

Wescan Energy Corp. has signed an amendment to its previously announced purchase agreement on Nov. 18, 2014, to acquire oil and gas properties in Alberta producing approximately 100 barrels of oil equivalent per day (65 per cent oil and natural gas liquids and 35 per cent natural gas) for an aggregate purchase price of $2,346,500.

The amendment extends the outside closing date to Jan. 23, 2015, to provide the parties more time to satisfy closing conditions. The completion of the acquisition is still subject to a number of conditions, including approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
