The Int'l Speculator in its Nov. 7, 2014, issue, downgrades True Gold Mining Inc. (recently 26 cents) to a sell from a buy. The newsletter said buy on Feb. 6, 2014, at 39 cents, and again on Aug. 6, 2014, at 44 cents. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the two buys, selling the $2,000 holding at 26 cents yields a loss of $765. The writer says True Gold is making good progress on its high-margin Karma gold project in Burkina Faso. Unfortunately, the West African country is in turmoil, and investors would do well to steer clear. This month the Speculator's usual emphasis on buy advice has been replaced with holds and sells. It says buy nothing, hold great companies, sell weaklings ... wait "to buy near a new, much lower bottom -- or in a month or two, when the present danger has passed." Fellow newsletter writer Brien Lundin has also been a True Gold fan. He said buy nine times between April, 2010, and September, 2014, at prices ranging from 35 cents to 97 cents, in his Gold Newsletter.
